The Punjab Institute of Cardiology Lahore is the tertiary care center for the management of cardiac diseases with referral from whole of the country particularly Punjab province.The main aim of the institute is, “to provide state of the art cardiac care to our patients”.The faculty of Punjab Institute of Cardiology consists of consultants and doctorstrained from prestigious institutions of the world. We haveseen more than one hundred thousand patients in our out patient department during the last year i.e. 2003. We are doing more than 8000 Coronary angiograms a year, which is far more than many huge tertiary care centers of Europe and the USA. Because of a large volume of patients coming to our Institute we are exposed to a large variety of cases in our institute which forms a substrate for research in our centre. In our Institution we have allocated every doctor a research topic in order to keep up with the pace of the new era.At Punjab Institute of Cardiology our intention is to provide state of the art facilities for the treatment of patients having heart diseases. The facilities that we provide including diagnostic tests and operative procedures are much cheaper than any other hospital in the region.Treatment is free of charge for the poor patients.We work hard with the hope to have a better nation with healthy heart.
